I have several Intel Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X540-T1 NIC's and my main reason for purchasing them for for their iSCSI capabilities. I assumed that they could also support Wake On LAN since that feature in NIC's has been around now for over 10 years, so I didn't think to see if this was a capability. I need Wake On LAN for a particular project we have here at my company. I was wondering if this feature could ever be implemented through a firmware update in the future, or am I going to have to return these NIC's and go with another brand that does 10Gb and supports Wake On LAN.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
