How to Assign different IRQs to PCIe based NIC(X-540) ??

Hello,

We are working on Dell-T1650 PC running on Intel Xeon E3-1240 v2 and RHEL-5.1 is installed on PC.

Now, we have installed Intel's X-540-T2 NIC card on PCIe slot on same PC. It shares IRQ 16.

Due to Shared IRQ we can't get NIC's better performance in terms of lower latency on same PC. So, we are planning to assign separate or unique IRQs to NIC card.

How can we assign different IRQs to PCIe based NIC card (82599 Ethernet controller based X-540-T2)??
