Re: x710 network link is disconnected

We are having a very similar issue with our Intel X710 based NIC's, that seemed to start happening out of the blue.  We are running a Hyper-V cluster based on Dell R730 servers, and recently as we have started to increase the load in the environment we are getting flooded with the same events from Windows (2012 R2 Datacenter Core).  After reading some other threads we have disabled tcp checksum offload, and so far today thing seem ok, but last week it started to cause issues with our guests.  We have our network adapters configured with LACP trunking connected to a pair of Avaya VSP switches.  Would it be possible to look into this further for us if we provide additional necessary information?

What does the VM misbehavior code 0x18000000 represent?

Hi!

I am using latest IGB driver(5.3.5.3) for Intel I350-T2 adapter.

Enabled IOMMU, created two VFs ('modprobe igb max_vfs=2'), and added the first VF as a passthrough device to a guest VM.

Installed latest IGBVF driver(2.3.8.2) in the guest.

Whenever I transmit packets from the guest, I observe the following error in dmesg of the host.

"igb 0000:02:00.0 p4p1: VF 0 misbehaved. VF queues are disabled. VM misbehavior code is 0x18000000"

Following this error, the host machine hangs immediately.

Could anyone please explain what does the code '0x18000000' represent and how to fix it.

Thanks much in advance!

I210 Windows Driver Source code

Hi,

We're developping software that runs under Windows Embbeded Standard and hardware using Intel I210 controler.

We require low-level access driver to be able to control TX timestamps or IPG in order to comply with real-time video delivery requirements.

Is I210 driver source code available for Windows Systems?

Thanks,

AdolfoMV.

i210 bridging interface problem

Hi,

I am developer on Linux system.  I have develop network tunnel with bridging interface.  I found problem in throughput performance.  It looks like serial packet.  From bandwidth monitoring, i can see packet flow from eth0 to eth1 as serialize not pararell. It need traffic from eth0 down to lowest then eth1 raise the traffic forward.

How can i fix this problem? I have been looking in Interrupt Throttle Rate (ITR) from your guide in "Tuning Throughput Performance for Intel® Ethernet Adapters".  But it does not any effect.

Thank you,

X520-DA1 or X520-LR1 with Intel SFP+ extremely slow speed ...

I have two DELL PCs each installed Intel X520-DA1 with SFP+ (FTLX1471D3BCV-IT) and using single mode fiber to connect two PCs directly, on Windows 7 ultimate 64bit the adapter linked as 10Gbps, but when I using iperf to test the transmission speed, it only ran about 2.5Gbps, I change two adapters to X520-LR1 and still the same?!

No matter what I change (configurations, SFP+), the speed still extremely slow,I wonder what could be wrong?!

X710 DCBX with Juniper EX4500

Hello all,

We have newly installed Intel X710 NICs on Windows Server 2012 R2 connecting to a Juniper EX4500 with DCBX enabled.  The Juniper DCBX information for the interfaces show enabled and everything looks good.  The data center tab on the X710 shows the following:

Status: Non Operational

DCBx Version: IEEE 802.1Qaz

Priority Group: Operational

Priority Flow Control: Operational

iSCSI Status: Feature not present in peer TLV

Our other NICs we have are X520 and they show DCBX to be operational.  All interface settings on the Juniper are identical.

To my knowledge the X710 devices have the latest drivers installed.

Has anyone seen something like this before or have any ideas?

After passing some traffic getting error tx_burst failed at lcore(1), port (0)

Hello Experts,

I am facing problem with one of my application with DPDK. Please find below

details of my setup,

Host - Ubuntu 14.04 with KVM-QEMU(4.2.0-27-generic) 64 bit

Guest - Ubuntu 14.04(3.13.0-24-generic) 64 bit

DPDK - 16.04 running in VM

Huge page - 2000(2MB) on guest VM

Intel NIC 350 T-4

Configured grub parameter - intel_iommu=on, iommu=pt

Using 4 core with DPDK

Now when I start traffic, DPDK start processing traffic and for 15-20

minutes everything works fine.

Then after a while DPDK stops processing traffic and I can see error on log

like tx_burst failed at lcore(1), port (0).

I checked DPDK process health and I do not see any problem with that like

hang or crash.

Any help or lead will be appreciated.

Br,

Tejas

What's the difference between i350-T2 and i350-T2v2?

I211/I217-V Windows 10 LACP teaming fails

$

Hello,

after the update to Windows 10 (x64, Build 10240) the creation of a teaming group (static or IEEE802.3ad) with a I211+I217-V NIC fails.

Drivers have been upgraded to the latest version available and multiple reinstallations with reboots din't help either. Whenever the group creation wizzard is used and a groupname (several tried), the adapters and LACP have been selected, a Windows pop-up appears to tell me group creation has failed.

However the Windows Device Manager shows a newly created "Intel Advanced Network Services Virtual Adapter", so some kind of configuration seems to get done.

Using Windows 7 SP1 x64 the exact same setup worked flawlessly for months, so Win10/the driver are the likely culprit.

Is anyone experiencing similar problems and/or is this a known bug? Feedback on this issue is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Famaku

Multiple 82574L Initialize failures

$

According to the spec update multiple 82574L controllers have an SMBus address conflict.

" 7. SMBus ARP Fails with Multiple Devices Because Different UDIDs Collide "

I'm guessing this is the reason that I can no longer access the control/status registers of either of my Ethernet controllers. I'd like to assign the address manually per the spec update but I cannot access the control registers. Every time I try I get the following error:

Port Network Address Location Series  WOL Flash Firmware Version

==== =============== ======== ======= === ================

  1   (Cannot initialize adapter)

  2   (Cannot initialize adapter)

Any suggestions on how to disable ARP when the adapter won't initialize?

Thanks!
